MOVIE REVIEW: "The Project" on TheBlazeTV

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

Since the 2010 controversy over the Terrorist Victory Monument Ground Zero Mosque, Islamic cultural subversion in the United States has come under scrutiny.  "The Project" on theBlazeTV examines the state of play surrounding Islamic cultural subversion and is required viewing for anyone who wants to understand current controversies.  "The Project" should also be viewed by anyone who believes Islamic cultural subversion is not a big deal.

Contemporary Islamic cultural subversion is very similar its Communist equivalent from the 1930's to the 1950's.  The project, written in 1982, is a document discovered by Swiss Law enforcement two months after 9/11.  Similar to the 1963 goals of the Communist Party USA, the project outlines the Muslim Brotherhood's "Grand Jihad" to "eliminate and destroy Western Civilization from within."  The project advocates taking over Western Civilization by deception and evolutionary sabotage, rather than revolution.  The endgame, however, is exactly the same as Usama bin Laden's

Islamic 'scripture' commands all Muslims to conquer the Globe in the name of Allah.  While they agree on the goal, Muslims disagree on timing and tactics.  Moderate Muslims believe the time of Global Dominance is so far in the future that they have no special obligation to bring it about.  Radical Jihadists, however, believe they are obligated to bring Islamic dominance into being.  There are two types of radical Jihadists: violent and stealth.  Violent Jihadists, like Usama bin Laden, believe in direct confrontation.  Stealth Jihadists, by contrast, seek to weaken us from within first and kill us later; the Project details the plan for stealth cultural subversion.

"The project" chronicles Islamic cultural subversion in the United States over the past decade.  Just like the minions of Saul Alinsky, the primary strategy of civilizational Jihadists is to entrench themselves and corrupt influential institutions from within.  That starts with culture, education, and media then moves quickly to finance and government.  For Islamic cultural subversives, the current operational objective is to silence honest discussion of Islamic 'scripture;' their primary tactic is political correctness and the word 'Islamophobia.'  Islamophobia, a term deliberately modeled after similar homosexual efforts, is designed to slander anyone who honestly discusses Islamic 'scripture' as a bigot.  Of the many examples cataloged, I find the purge of FBI training materials most disturbing.

This is not a Democrat/Republican issue.  Both parties are guilty.  Infiltration by Islamic cultural subversives began under George W. Bush, it's gotten infinitely worse under Barack Obama.  This past summer, when five members of Congress sent letters requesting more information to the Inspectors General of five federal departments, they were first attacked by Republicans.  The only difference is that where establishment Republicans are either willfully blind or ignorantly profiteering, the Barack Obama Democrats are deliberately treasonous.

Moving forward, making public the documents already possessed by the executive branch is the top priority.  In the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial, the Bush Justice Department provided 80 boxes of discovery material to the defense.  After the Obama administration came into office, those boxes were sealed away in a federal warehouse.  While the public cannot access those documents, an even bigger outrage is that Congressional Intelligence Committees cannot access them either.  The United States cannot solve this problem until the public (or at least Congress) grasps its magnitude.

For those of us who believe in the Judeo-Christian foundation of Western Civilization, a dirty little secret exists.  The struggle against Islamic cultural subversion is almost identical to the struggle against Communist cultural subversion.  With courage and truth, we can defeat both; hopefully without firing a shot.  Andrew Breitbart famously observed that culture, education, and media lie upstream of policy; that's just as true for cultural Jihad as cultural Marxism.  Step 1 is to honestly, if belatedly, define our enemy and their objective.  "The project" on theBlazeTV does exactly that, using that enemy's own words.  Do you want to face the ugly truth, or are you afraid?!?

Pat Caddell: "The Media Have Become the Enemy of the American People"

I've seen this speech floating around Facebook for the past few days.  I was expecting the bigger sites and talk radio to be all over it.  Since they haven't been, I present it to you in it's entirety.

Highlights:
  • We're at the most dangerous time in our history regarding the media.
  • Media changed in the 1980's.  (Author's note: I'm not sure.)
  • The Constitution deliberately did not place checks and balances on the press.
  • National Security Advisor Tom Donilan is "the most amoral person I know in politics."
  • 60% of Stimulus money went to Obama donors.
  • With the Libya incident, the press crossed a new line.
  • The Republican Establishment's inability to fight allows this to happen.
  • Some of the screwy polling "is deliberate."
  • The referees on the field are sacking the QB of one team.
  • Make the press themselves the issue.
  • The Fundamental threat: if the media discredits its integrity, the first amendment won't withstand a demagogue.

Bibi Netanyahu's United Nations Speech

Bibi spoke to the U.N. today; I was struck by the more in sorrow than anger tone:

Highlights:
  • 3000 years ago, King David reigned in our eternal capital Jerusalem
  • Throughout our history, the Jewish people have overcome every tyrant who has sought our destruction.
  • Tyrannical ideologies have been discarded by history, but the Jewish people live on.
  • Jews have lived in the land of Israel continuously throughout Jewish history.
  • In Israel, we walk the same path today as our patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
  • In Israel, the past and the future find common ground.
  • He links the Biblical and the Geopolitical really well.
  • It's not whether this fanaticism [Islamic Supremacism] will be defeated, it's how many lives will be lost in the process.
  • Nothing would imperil our common future more than arming Iran with nuclear weapons.
  • Iran and Al Qaeda have the same motivations (Author's note: Bibi didn't mention this in the speech, but Iran invented Al Qaeda.)
  • Given the pre-existing record of Iranian aggression, imagine Iranian aggression with Nuclear Weapons.
  • Militant Jihadists behave very differently from Secular Marxists (Author's note: As William Federer discussed at the event I attended a few weeks ago, the reason for this is because if you're an atheist who loses everything when you die, you want to live; Islamic Supremacists, by contrast, would rather get into 'heaven' than live.)
  • Iran uses diplomatic negotiations to buy time.
  • Sanctions have not stopped Iran's nuclear ambitions (Author's note: Nor will they.)
  • Red Lines don't lead to war, Red lines prevent war; in fact, the failure to draw red lines often invites aggression.
  • A Red Line must be drawn on Iran's efforts to enrich Uranium.
  • Amassing the enriched Uranium is much more important than the nuclear fuse.
  • The only way to prevent an Iranian nuke is to prevent them from acquiring enough enriched Uranium.
  • ISRAEL'S RED LINE: BEFORE IRAN FINISHES STAGE TWO ENRICHMENT.
  • I believe that faced with a clear Red Line, Iran will back down (Author's note: God Bless Bibi, but I DO NOT agree with that statement; I think they'll plow ahead)

Will Jon Stewart Apologize to Louie Gohmert?!?

Two years ago, Congressman Louie Gohmert spoke on the U.S. House floor, where he observed:

This elicited the predictable juvenile response from Jon Stewart:

Yeah, well, fast forward two years and see what's happened; this past weekend, in New York City, the annual Muslim parade featured a number of questionable guests, including this gem (skip to 1:29):

Will Jon Stewart apologize and admit Louie Gohmert was right?!?

Don't hold your breath.

MOVIE REVIEW: "The Hope and the Change" by Citizen United Productions

This review is proof of God's all powerful sense of humor.  I've been in touch with the P.R. department at Citizens United for the past week to get my copy of "Occupy Unmasked."  For all that effort, last night I saw Citizens United's other new release, "the Hope and the Change."

This documentary is devastating to Barack Obama.  It chronicles the disillusionment and travails of a dozen or so 2008 Obama voters who will not vote for him a second time.  These are the voters who, in 2008, pulled Barack Obama across the finish line.

My biggest takeaway from the movie is the day-to-day struggle that life under Barack Obama has been for a substantial chunk of Obama's own voters.  While life has been (very) challenging for us all, for these 2008 Obama voters Obama's economic devastation is acute and unrelenting.  Comments like "I have never been more broke in my life," "I'm sick of only having ten dollars in my bank account," and "I am not seeing one ounce of benefit for all this debt" illustrate the economic calamity these 2008 Obama voters face.

For these 2008 Obama voters, Barack Obama's policies have been inexplicable and infuriating.  It started with the bailouts.  For these 2008 Obama voters, "bailing out car companies and banks surprised a lot of people."  Alongside the bailouts, "the stimulus was a shocker as well" because "I don't know where all this money is going," when, in reality, "we just printed more money."  Making matters worse, "I got really scared when I saw the Health Care package" since "the more I understood, the more I became concerned" when "there were better solutions" than this "tax on the middle class."  Obama's policies are divorced from these 2008 Obama voters' lives, but they understand they're getting stuck with the bill; "it's a complete hustle and we're the butt of the joke."  The anger is palpable.

For conservatives, it's important to understand that persuadable 2008 Obama voters aren't the morons or Jon Stewart's audience.  These are the folks Andrew Breitbart famously referred to as "Democrats by Osmosis."  Their family or social circle were Democrat, and they went along without thinking.  Most important, their underlying values are conservative.  Barack Obama has alienated the voters who pulled him across the finish line in 2008: "I work hard for what I have and I resent being told I have to give it to someone else."  In 2012, as Scott Rasmussen explained at RightOnline, we need to hammer results and record.  Over the longer term, however, we need to educate them to think ideologically.

On a personal note, I was struck by the section on National Security issues.  As regular readers know, I've been freaking out about National Security for the past couple months.  Persuadable 2008 Obama voters agree: "the United States is not respected the way it used to be" because Obama "has shown more weakness than strength."  For the record, all these interviews were conducted after the bin Laden raid but before our embassies were attacked.  For conservatives, this is a very encouraging sign.

For those of us who want to destroy the institutional left, "the Hope and the Change" is a priceless guide to the rest of this cycle and what comes next.  A substantial chunk of Barack Obama's 2008 voters do not share Obama's satanic values.  Persuadable Obama 2008 voters have conservative values, they just vote Democrat by default.  Between now and election day, hammer results; after election day, however, these folks need ideological education.  The good news is that these folks are very open to what we have to say, and "the Hope and the Change" is a fantastic guide for their concerns.

Author's note: Quotes are transcribed by hand; while a word or two might be off, the spirit is accurate.

Mediterranean Update Tuesday: Islamists Love Hard-line Leftists

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." Genesis 1:26

Well, it's official: anti-American Islamic Supremacist violence has spread to Greece.  Iran's apocalyptic President is meeting with Occupy Wall St, on American soil.  Meanwhile, the leftist government currently in charge of the United States is exploiting this crisis to advance a key component of the Islamic Supremacist agenda.

Chaos is here gang, and things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better.

Islamists and Hard-line leftists work together because they're both Utopians who seek to radically alter the existing order.  Both Islamists and Hard-line leftists seek to subsume individual autonomy under an all powerful state, the only difference is between atheistic and theocratic tyranny.  Western Judeo-Christian civilization, which believes God created man in His image, threatens both; if God creates you in His image, then other men cannot subsume your rights under their tyranny.

This is nothing new.  Islamists have a long history of working with Hard-line Leftists against civilization.  The early Muslim Brotherhood were big fans of Hitler's leftist government.  Leftists routinely back Palestinian barbarism as some sort of 'resistance' to some non-existent occupation.  Don't get me started on leftist "human rights" lawyers that advance the Islamist agenda.

As much as I disagree with Mitt Romney on certain domestic issues, one thing he does understand is the situation in the Middle East.

Longview News-Journal ignores facts to establish narrative for 83rd Texas Legislature

The Texas media is already crafting their narrative for the 83rd Texas Legislature, penning the following editorial:
Work to do: Level heads needed for Legislature's big jobs.
The substance of the editorial re-hashes the same tiresome arguments we heard during the 82nd Texas legislature about 'draconian' cuts to education despite the fact that Texas budgeted $78 billion for education during this biennium; if Texas schools can't get by on $78 billion, perhaps they should stop paying superintendents six-figure salaries.

What's really galling, however, is what the editorial says about budget gimmicks during the 82nd legislature in relation to Governor Perry:
To balance the state budget as required by our constitution, legislators in the last session used all sorts of fancy tricks — lies, really — including pretending school enrollment would not grow in Texas, which is one of the fastest-growing states in the nation. That, of course, was ridiculous. We’re disappointed the Legislature did it, and that Texans let lawmakers get away with it....Gov. Rick Perry will be more a hindrance than a help in the upcoming session.
Here's my question: who's leading the fight against budget gimmicks in the 83rd Texas legislature?!? Governor Rick Perry.  This past April, Governor Perry introduced the Texas Budget Compact, whose first item is 'practice truth in budgeting.'

Why let facts get in the way of a good narrative, eh Longview News-Journal?!?

The Taranto Principle, Leftist 2004 myths, and why Obama will (probably) lose (big)

Several years ago, Wall St. Journal columnist James Taranto introduced an idea that came to be known as the Taranto principle, it states:
the liberal media often ill serves liberal politicians by creating a feedback loop in which both sides reinforce each other's prejudices while public opinion goes its own way.
I think the 2012 election could become the biggest vindication of the Taranto principle since Paulene Kael in 1972.  At a minimum, the Obama re-election campaign has based its strategy around liberal myths about George W. Bush's 2004 re-election that leave it disconnected from reality.

The liberal 2004 mythology can be summed up as follows: "after a horrific first term for Bush, thatrottenSOBKarlRove(tm) knew Bush couldn't win so he brought in the Swift Vets to trash warheroJohnKerry(tm) and thatrottenSOBKarlRove(tm) also ginned up anti-gay sentiment to get his base to turnout."  All of the preceding statements are false.  Consider the following:

  • The Swift Boat Veterans were telling the Truth -- It's impossible to overstate the importance of the Swift Boat Veterans to the myths leftists tell themselves about the 2004 election.  Heck, leftists have event turned 'swift-boating' into shorthand for an underhanded smear campaign.  Unfortunately, for the left, the reason the swift boat veterans charges stuck is because they were true.  Leftist attacks against Mitt, by contrast, are laughably false.  That's why the over these over the top attacks aren't working.
  • Homosexual 'marriage' wasn't a particularly important issue in 2004 -- First things first, Karl Rove didn't make homosexual 'marriage' a campaign issue in 2004, the Massachusetts Supreme court did.  That being said, homosexual 'marriage' wasn't particularly important.  Most of the states that had marriage referendums were solidly Republican and, in Ohio, the marriage referendum passed with a wider margin than Bush's victory.  Bush's 2004 voters weren't motivated by homosexual 'marriage,' they were motivated by post-9/11 national security issues.  Fast forward to 2012 and you see why the 'War on Women' narrative has been such a flop against persistent unemployment and embassies going up in flames.
In 2004, you had a reasonably successful, if unspectacular, incumbent (whose real policy disasters were still in the future) going against a challenger who told serious fibs about himself.  In 2012, by contrast, you have an incumbent with a disastrous record going against a challenger who has, if anything, undersold his own record.  Team Obama cannot replicate George W. Bush's 2004 re-election strategy, largely because they don't understand how Bush's victory happened in the first place.

Coming October 20th: Rage Against the Media

Big announcement via Facebook; on October 20th, Americans are going to come together to protest the media, from the Rage Against the Media Facebook page:
On October 20th, we will be holding a nationwide protest to express our well-founded rage at the media. From Los Angeles
to New York City, and all points in between, we need to make our voices heard: for too long we have been hostage to their narrative, to their complicity with the "progressive" agenda, to their media malpractice, and it's time to say ENOUGH.

Without the media, the Freshman Senator from Illinois would never have even gotten the nomination, let alone the Presidency. And these entire nearly four years have been brought to us ONLY with the help of the Propaganda Arm of the Obama Presidency and of progressives as a whole.

We on the Right have been BETRAYED, but the Left has been DUPED. ALL Americans have suffered at their hands, and the damage doesn't end at our shores!!

The Arab faux-spring was sold to all of us by the media, hawking the Kumbayah peace, love and democracy party line, and now they are reaping what they have sown. And to make matters worse, they are betraying the very first amendment upon which they are dependent in order to CONTINUE to support this President.
As is frequently true, Andrew Breitbart said it best:

Breitbart is here!!!

NY Times Columnist ignores NY Times to attack Texas!!!

Last night, I was perusing this interview with NY Times columnist Gail Collins, when she produced this gem:
[Texas is] a state that's going to be majority Hispanic, and you would want to see is a state that's preparing for this day be doing a stupendous job of educating it's minority kids....And I'm not seeing the love there.
As Gail Collins' own paper has documented, Texas pioneered a $10,000 bachelor's degree to help educate ALL children regardless of race.

Apparently, NY Times columnists can't be bothered to check the NY Times before they make assertions.

Why let facts get in the way of a good narrative, eh New York Times?!?

Update: I sent a copy of this post to the communications director at Texas Public Policy Foundation, who noted that, in addition, Hispanic Students in Texas outperform Hispanic Students in other states.

Again, why let facts get in the way of a good narrative, eh New York Times?!?

Pat Condell: A word to Rioting Muslims

This clip is amazing:

  • T describe these riots an infiltile and imbicilic gives them a level of credit they don't deserve.
  • We've become weary of manufactured Islamic offense
  • There's nothing on this planet less deserving of respect than Muslim outrage.
  • 20 years of baseless grivence mongering.
  • If you're an offended Muslim, go stick your head in the oven for all we care.
  • Islam gives us nothing, it's a 'religion' permanently on the take.

(h/t Bargain Citizen)

On Mitt Romney and the Federal Reserve

The past few days, the media has thrown a hissy fit over Mitt's 47% comment; what's much more interesting, however, are Mitt's comments on that tape about Ben Bernanke and the Federal Reserve:
Yeah, it's interesting…the former head of Goldman Sachs, John Whitehead, was also the former head of the New York Federal Reserve. And I met with him, and he said as soon as the Fed stops buying all the debt that we're issuing—which they've been doing, the Fed's buying like three-quarters of the debt that America issues. He said, once that's over, he said we're going to have a failed Treasury auction, interest rates are going to have to go up. We're living in this borrowed fantasy world, where the government keeps on borrowing money. You know, we borrow this extra trillion a year, we wonder who's loaning us the trillion? The Chinese aren't loaning us anymore. The Russians aren't loaning it to us anymore. So who's giving us the trillion? And the answer is we're just making it up. The Federal Reserve is just taking it and saying, "Here, we're giving it.' It's just made up money, and this does not augur well for our economic future.
You know, some of these things are complex enough it's not easy for people to understand, but your point of saying, bankruptcy usually concentrates the mind.
Are you listening Ron Paul supporters?!?

Mitt Romney is calling for an end to printing money.  Mitt Romney supports audit the Fed.  Mitt Romney has pledged not to reappoint Ben Bernanke.  Heck, Mitt asked Bernanke not to do QE3.

Are you listening Ron Paul supporters?!?

The Ron Paul crowd has claimed, for years, that reigning in the Federal Reserve is their #1 priority.  Well, congratulations guys, you won.  The Republican party Presidential nominee opposes QE3 and supports Audit the Fed.  While he has yet to address the topic, I strongly suspect Mitt would sign a currency competition bill into law if Congress passed it.  Based on his previous public statements alone, Mitt Romney will give the Ron Paul crowd 70% of what they're asking on their #1 issue.

Can the Ron Paul crowd take yes for an answer?!?

This piece of audio is a test for the Ron Paul crowd.  Will they make a realistic decision based on evidence and facts, or would they rather be a 'persecuted' minority sulking over a perceived slight that wasn't that bad in the first place?!? On January 20th of next year, one of two men will be President.  One of them will give you 70% of what you want on your #1 issue; the alternative doesn't know the size of the national debt.  That one contrast should speak for itself.

11 Steps to a more effective National Security policy....

The other day, I discussed how the United States will continue to be at war for the foreseeable future.  The bad guys, for reasons of their own, need to remove the United States from the picture.  Regardless of what we do, they're going to continue coming.  We are both the Great Satan and Vladmir Putin's primary obstacle, whether we like it or not.  The United States must restore global dominance within the reality created by other global actors pursuing their interests.

Barack Obama's policy of strategic surrender hiding behind tactical belligerence isn't working.  But, quite honestly, George W. Bush's confused muddle of a foreign policy won't cut it either.  While George W. Bush introduced some positive elements in his first term (ie. Preemption and not giving super-national organizations a veto over U.S. action), his second term 'Freedom Agenda' laid the foundation for the disaster we face today.

We can do better.  Thinly veiled appeasement, neoconservative democratization, and Ron Paul style isolationism aren't our only options.  I offer the following principles as guidelines against which to assess future policies.

  • A Growing Economy -- Getting our economy moving is step one to restore American dominance.  With robust economic growth, our current problems become much more manageable.  The greatest military in the world is much easier to afford in an economy growing at 4% than in one limping by on around 1.5%; that's even truer if said military is deployed overseas, which ours, realistically, will continue to be.  A crucial component of a growing economy that will also aid our foreign policy is...
  • Free Trade -- International trade is a frequently overlooked way to minimize wars.  Under Obama, free trade has taken a backseat to union pandering.  Open global trade is the low-hanging fruit of geopolitics.  Unfortunately, many problems exist that we cannot solve through economics.  When those more difficult problems occur, our first step is....
  • Priorities -- After determining what we can afford, the United States needs to prioritize the greatest threats and devote our resources to them.  Right now, the United States squanders too much energy in areas that are irrelevant to our national interests.  In my opinion, the primary threats to U.S. national security these days comes from Iran, Russia (yeah, I know), and our Southern Border.  Egypt and Libya could, unfortunately, become top-tier threats before Mitt's inauguration.  Once you establish priorities, it allows you to project....
  • Credible Threat of Force -- This is where peace through strength conservatives differ from libertarians.  Peace through strength conservatives understand evil exists in the world; if we don't defeat evil, evil will grow.  That's not to say every recent U.S. military action has been well advised or prudent (*cough* Libya *cough*; *cough* Kosovo *cough*).  Peace through strength conservatives support military action where it advances American interests, NOT gauzy humanitarian bull-crap.  Regarding Afghanistan and Iraq, most peace through strength conservatives believe we were right to remove the Taliban and Saddam Hussein, but we stayed too long and tried to do too much.  This is important, because a credible threat of force needs to be tempered with....
  • Realistic Expectations -- George W. Bush's second-term "Freedom Agenda" is the direct antecedent of today's chaos in the Middle East.  Yes, Obama's treasonous misconduct made the situation immeasurably worse, but Condoleeza Rice's State Department let this cat out of the bag.  If there's one lesson America has learned the hard way this decade, it's that the United States cannot change an Islamic political culture that is theologically incompatible with with Adam Smith and John Locke.  In Iraq, for example, the United States would have been far better served by installing Ahmed Chalabi and drawing down to 30,000 shortly thereafter.  One we've tempered the credible threat of force with realistic expectations, we must....
  • Fight to Win -- The rules of engagement in Afghanistan have been an issue since Obama took office. In the Egyptian embassy attack, our Marines weren't allowed live ammunition.  Heck, this is the administration that invented a military award for 'courageous restraint.'  That's ridiculous, once we deploy our military under the circumstances described above, we need to unleash its full force and get the job done.  Unfortunately, fighting to win requires a cultural shift at the top of the Pentagon that we will only achieve if we....
  • Clean out the State Department -- I can't prove (yet) that Huma Abedin is a traitor.  I can, however, say with full confidence that the State Department bureaucracy is infested with hard-line leftists who advance a progressive internationalist agenda no matter who holds elected office.  From Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush, recent Republican Presidents have had their agendas stymied by the State Department bureaucracy.  While I cannot prove it, I strongly suspect the State Department bureaucracy was behind George W. Bush's "Freedom Agenda."  Once America cleans out the State Department, we will be able to....
  • Know who our friends are -- One of the best decisions George W. Bush made as President was telling the UN to pound sand over Iraq.  America should not give the a fore mentioned progressive internationalists, or a corrupt French President, a veto over U.S. action.  That does not mean, however, that America should actually follow the left-wing straw man and 'go it alone.'  America has allies and friends we must honor and with whom we should work closely.  Barack Obama's cavalier destruction of longstanding alliances and friendships is another dangerous aspect of his legacy.  America must diligently and unapologetically rebuild those relationships.  Finally, America MUST....
  • SECURE THE DAMN BORDER -- Don't get me started, but it needs to be done.
Again, I am not (yet!) advocating a set of policies.  I'm outlining a set of principles to guide future policy-making.  This strikes me as a good start....

Glenn's Hypothesis: What's REALLY happening in Libya

Yesterday, Glenn Beck outlined a hypothesis he has about the 'embassy' attack in Libya, it's chilling and needs more exposure:

Highlights -- What we know:
  • What do we know about Benghazi?!?  It's VERY dangerous and an ambassador would NEVER go in there without a major security detail.  This guy didn't.
  • No actual ambassador would go into Bengazhi in an unarmored vehicle.
Speculation
  • This wasn't a consulate, this was a safe house.

1400 years of Islamic Conquest: William J. Federer

This past Saturday, I saw the presentation Islamic Conquest: Past and Present; in no particular order, these are my takeaways:

  • Moderate Muslims aren't a threat.  While all Muslims believe the world must ultimately submit to Islam, they disagree over the timing.  Radical Muslims believe that time is coming soon and that they must usher it in; moderate Muslims believe the time the world must submit to Islam is far enough in the future that they can peacefully coexist with the infidels.
  • The purpose of Christianity is to give people as many chances as necessary to repent; Muslims send people to hell.
  • Mohammed couldn't read; he had the Christian gospels told to him through heretical sources.  As a result, Muslims believe the Christian trinity is God the father, Jesus, and Mary.  Muslims have no conception of the Holy Spirit.
  • Medina was originally a Jewish city before Mohammed conquered it.
  • There are two sets of verses in the Koran.  The early verses, from the Meccan period, are (relatively) peaceful; the later verses, from the Medinan period, are violent.  Much like the Old Testament and the New Testament, the later verses supersede the earlier.
  • You can't split the Religious part of Islam from the Political and Military.
  • Islam is financed by slavery and plunder, not wealth creation.
  • Mohammed's conquering strategy -- Immigrate, Increase, Eliminate.  This means that they come to a new land, establish enclaves where local laws don't apply, stay on the down low while they build up their strength, then eventually take over violently.  In the United States, we're currently in the increase phase.
  • Most Muslims don't know the Koran or their own history.
  • #1 crime in Scandinavia is Muslim men raping European Women.
  • Radical Marxists and Radical Muslims both want to eliminate the Judeo-Christian foundation of Western Civilization.
  • Islam is not a redemptive religion; you have to earn salvation through works.
  • The only way to guarantee salvation in Islam is martyrdom.
  • A large percentage of Sharia concerns how you treat people outside the faith.
  • The Islamic conception of Jesus is the Christian anti-Christ.
  • Islam spread from eastern Afghanistan to Spain within 100 years of Mohammed's death.
  • It took 700 years to drive the Muslims from Spain.
  • Islam is a 'religion of peace' in that there will be peace AFTER the world submits to Allah; thus, when George W. Bush repeatedly said Islam is a religion of peace, Muslims interpreted it to mean the U.S. President was saying the world will submit to Islam.
  • Jesus never lied; Mohammed specifically advocated lying to advance Islam.
  • Jesus never forced anyone to follow him; Mohammed did.
  • Jesus forgave insults; Mohammad didn't.
  • Muslim Brotherhood strategy -- Like Mohammad's strategy listed above, their strategy is to peacefully assemble a presence, bide their time and weaken us from within, then ultimately attack.
  • Mufti of Jerusalem, 1930's -- Told Hitler "I don't want the Jews, kill them."
  • Muslims are taking over Latin American drug cartels; Hugo Chavez is teaching Jihadists Spanish.
  • If someone says Sharia is compatible with the United States' Constitution they're either: Ignorant, Afraid, Profiteering, or Lying.
  • Dearbornistan -- "We will use the freedoms of the U.S. Constitution to destroy the constitution."
  • Islamic Subversion is a Women's issue.  Women are treated like property in Islamic Culture.  Thus, if you believe in a society where men and women are treated equally, you cannot support or appease Islamic subversion.
  • Sex Depravation Syndrome -- In their culture, you can't marry until you have enough money for a wife, so the sexual motivation of 'martyrdom' is REALLY powerful.
  • Christian women witnessing to Muslim women is the best way to rescue people from Islam.
  • Love the individual Muslim, stop the agenda.

Paul Ryan at the Values Voter Summit

Paul Ryan brought his a-game to the Values Voter Summit yesterday:

Highlights:

  • "The Obama Economic Agenda failed not because it was stopped, but because it was passed."
  • "A classic Barack Obama straw-man: If anyone dares point out the facts of his record, then they're being negative and pessimistic about the future of the country."
  • "If we renew the contract [with Obama], we'll get the same deal."
  • "When a Romney/Ryan administration takes office, we will take responsibility."
  • "The only argument Obama can win is against a straw man."
  • "You would be hard pressed to find another group in America that does more to serve women and their babies than the Catholic Church."
  • "In a just society, the law should stand on the side of life."

Economic Illiteracy on Display at the Austin Statesman

The Austin (un)American-Statesman had this gem today about the Texas Budget; the good news is that we could have a surplus:
Texas could be heading toward a record state budget surplus just two years after facing a historic deficit.
First things first, revenues from oil and gas development are higher than expected:
Soaring oil and gas production in West Texas and the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas are major drivers of the better-than-expected revenue collections.
Also, as the article reminds us, the Texas Legislature cut spending in 2011:
They filled most of that hole with money from the state's rainy day fund, then set about reducing spending by $14 billion in the 2012-13 budget.
Which has created the following outcome:
But [Texas Comptroller Susan] Combs reported in December that the state actually started the 2012-13 budget with an unanticipated $1.6 billion in the bank due largely to the oil and gas boom, and she added to that balance with the $3.7 billion announced Wednesday.
So, lemme get this straight: The State of Texas created more wealth by developing it's resources while simultaneously cutting spending and might have a budget surplus.  Wealth Generation and Spending Restraint begets prosperity?!?  Somehow, this cause and effect is lost on the Austin Statesman and the prosperity is 'unanticipated.'

Sheesh.....

All-American Blogger: Origins of the pro-Pedophilia Movement

All American Blogger absolutely nails it; all I have to say is did Rick Santorum call it or did Rick Santorum call it?!?  One highlight:
Neatly tucked away inside that agenda was the sub-agenda to legalize pedophilia. The “1972 Gay Rights Platform in the United States” called for the “Repeal of all laws governing the age of sexual consent.” This platform was endorsed by liberal Democratic presidential candidate George McGovern, who sent a supportive telegram. There were other homosexual organizations, such as the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Rights Coalition and the Gay Alliance Towards Equality, that also opposed the age of consent laws. Their support of the cause would disappear in 1977.
The whole thing is a must read, available here.

What Ted Cruz and the American Revolution have in Common

It's often said that bloggers write Ted Cruz puff pieces to generate cheap content when they're working on something longer.  Ok, I made that up.  I did, however, have a quick insight on Ted Cruz this morning.

What do the American Revolution and Ted Cruz' campaign have in common?!?

Both began with two percent.

That's a big deal.

In 2011, no one except active Tea Partiers thought Ted Cruz would win the U.S. Senate nomination.  But, in 1774, no one except those involved thought a ragtag group of merchants and farmers would defeat the mightiest empire the world had ever seen.  In both cases, 2% of the population didn't care what everyone else thought.

Sam Adams once said:
It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless, minority keen to set brushfires in people's minds.
That's just as true today as it was back then.

The Totally Awesome Movie Preview that 'caused' the Egyptian Embassy Attack

By now, I'm sure you've heard about the embassy attacks in Egypt and Libya; here's the film trailer that they were talking about:

AWESOME!!!

(h/t The Blaze)

What Glenn Beck's Return to TV means for Fox

He's baaaaaack; today on his radio show, Glenn Beck announced:
“Today TheBlaze has announced and the New York Times front page of the business section has announced that TheBlaze TV is now officially a television network as well as an Internet television network. Today we are debuting on our first carrier, DISH. In fact, if you are at home in some parts of the country, it has started already,”
This is huge; along with Breitbart, it will change the media.

As great as this is for conservatism, it could be a mortal threat to Fox News.  Fox News has been able to prosper by being less bad than the other cable networks.  TheBlaze's emergence on television means that cannot continue.

Fox News, even before Roger Ailes' infamous "course correction," always shared the shortcomings of cable news with it's lower rated competitors.  Cable news, at least as it's currently understood, spends too much time reacting to the news of a day.  Cable news wastes time on brainless crap.  Cable news uses the ossified Democrat Strategist/Republican Strategist as a crutch.

There's a reason why, when he was at Fox, Glenn Beck had the most successful show on the network.  Glenn Beck went beyond the news of the day.  Glenn Beck explained the Progressives.  Glenn Beck explained Cloward and Piven.  Glenn Beck broke the Chicago Climate exchange.

I've always said that Fox News, while it doesn't (or didn't pre-course correction) share the political biases of the rest of the media, still shares the cultural biases of the NYC/DC/LA set.  Glenn Beck has never been part of that crowd, even when he lived in New York.  Glenn Beck is culturally Middle American and, as such, he lives in truth.

Fox News better step up it's game, otherwise Glenn Beck will leave them in the dust.

War, whether we like it or not....

"To everything there is a season...a time of war and a time of peace." Ecclesiastes 3:1...8

I already did my 9/11 reflection piece; I now have a quick comment looking forward.

Today, on the anniversary of 9/11, the United States Embassy in Egypt was attacked.

This is a clear act of war.

This is an ongoing situation, and I want to sleep (and pray) on it before saying anything specific.  We need a better strategy for dealing with foreign threats.  I'm not sure what that strategy entails, but it runs through Tehran.

For now, I want to expand on a point I made about Afghanistan in March:
Some will argue that we should leave entirely because the Jihadists and Russains will leave us alone if we leave them alone.  This is nonsense; Vladimir Putin and the Jihadists don't want to be left alone, they want to dominate the globe.  They're going to play that game whether we like it or not.
That Afghanistan-specific quote also applies to the broader world.  This world is fallen and, as such, evil people will continue to be at war with the United States.  We can't change them; they view the United States as an obstacle.  I'm all for developing a more effective approach, because the current mix of appeasement and nation-building isn't working, but naive myopia won't cut it.  America will continue to be at war, whether we like it or not, for the foreseeable future.

9/11 and Rudy Giuliani Idolatry

"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation./He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved" Psalm 62:1-2

Today is the eleventh anniversary of 9/11; on this occasion, I want to comment on the biggest mistake our nation made in it's aftermath.

We didn't turn back to God.

One of the great cliches in life is that adversity doesn't build character, adversity reveals character.  The cliche is still true.  After 9/11, our nation plunged deeper into the idolatry that already plagued us.  Church attendance spiked briefly, but didn't last.  Far too many of us were more interested in shopping and baseball; we placed our faith in politicians.

Rudy Giuliani is the best example.  No one (credible) disputes that Rudy acted heroically during and after 9/11.  Rudy's calm, stoic leadership helped prevent a panic, which could have been worse than the attack.  Rudy brilliantly finessed the transition from a rescue mission to a recovery operation.  I still get choked up thinking about Rudy and the funerals.  Unfortunately, instead of getting on our knees and thanking God for blessing us with a leader like Rudy Giuliani, we built Rudy into an idol.

In my own life, I turned the New York Yankees into an idol.  Where I had previously been a fan, after 9/11 the Yankees became an unhealthy obsession.  The results speak for themselves.  The Yankees lost the 2001 World Series.  Except for 2009, they've endured a stagnant decade.  Heck, they even lost to the Red Sox.  Lesson (belatedly) learned.  Baseball teams are a hobby, NOT a substitute for Him.

It's not exactly a secret that things haven't gone as planned since 9/11.  From Iraq, to Katrina, to the 2008 financial market crisis, to Obama's spending and debt, to the horrific situation on our border, it's just not working.  While we absolutely need better public policies and higher quality leaders, step 1 is our personal relationship with God.

Fortunately, it's never too late with God: if we follow the instructions in 2 Chronicles 7:14, then He will bless us with 2 Chronicles 14:7.

1963 Goals of the Communist Party USA

In 1963, Congress held hearings into the Communist Party U.S.A.  As part of this hearing, Congress listed their goals.  Consider the list, and how many they've accomplished:
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

25 productive steps for Ron Paul Supporters to take

My fellow RightOnline blogger Duane, over at AllAmericanBlog highlights 25 things Ron Paul Supporters can do besides voting for Gary Johnson, a sample:

  • Join the Republican Party:  You read that right.  Go to GOP.com and join up.  Get their newsletter.  Like them on Facebook. Follow them on Twitter.  Join the team.
  • Go the the GOP Website for Your State and Volunteer:  Missouri’s GOP website is www.mogop.org.  When I go there, I can volunteer to help the party.  Volunteering is often a great way to get your foot in the door.  Once you start volunteering and networking, then you can so something like #4, but first, you really should do #3.
  • Attend the County Party Committee Meeting:  The Republican Party has committees in each county.  Personally, I don’t know that my county ever meets.  If they do, they aren’t advertising when.  All you have to do is go to the GOP’s website for your state.  Find the page showing county committees and see who is on yours.  Reach out to them and find out when they are meeting next.  Attend the meeting and press the flesh.  Get to know these folks.  If you really try, you could be working with them someday.  Which brings us to…
  •  Become a Member of the County Party Committee:  How does one get on the county party committee? Right now, I don’t know. I never thought about trying to get on one. That’s a good question for you to ask when you attend your first meeting.  Once you are on the committee though, work hard politicking so you can…
  • Become the Chair of the County Party Committee:  Boom!  Now you’re doing it.  Running a county committee is a great way to actually start impacting the direction of the party.  And, done right, could open the door to #6.
  • Read the whole thing here.
