"But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.."
Matthew 23:13
Yesterday, John Cornyn posted the following to his Facebook page:
I joined victims of violent crimes to speak with Dallas police about the sobering issue of criminals profiting from the pain of others. Crime shouldn’t pay.

Following the link, we learn:
The market for “murderabilia,” a term coined by Houston victim advocate Andy Kahan, has inspired U.S. Sen. John Cornyn to team up with Kahan to pass legislation prohibiting its sale.According to Cornyn: "crime should not pay."
“I know we were raised to believe that crime should not pay,” the Republican senator said Wednesday in a visit to Dallas police headquarters, “but unfortunately… due to murderabilia, this is not true.”
Later this month, Cornyn intends to propose a federal bill that would halt interstate commerce of such memorabilia through the U.S. mail and impose fines and jail time on those selling it, whether it’s the killers themselves or third-party sellers.
And where, pray tell, have we recently seen people profiting from murder?!?
It's been two months since the Planned Parenthood organ harvesting videos emerged. The organization is weaker than ever. Unfortunately, John Cornyn doesn't care.
In other words: weird mementos from high-profile crimes = "Murderabilia"; subsidized harvesting of Baby Organs subsequently sold for profit = NOT "Murderabilia".
Bottom Line: When it comes to arbitrary, unconstitutional, and vague regulations John Cornyn is all about "crime should not pay"; when it comes to ending the subsidized dismemberment of HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of children annually, John Cornyn couldn't care less.
