"The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly,
But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness."
Proverbs 15:2
Earlier this morning, Michael Quinn Sullivan wrote a short Twitter thread about constitution day. Ok fine, whatever. During the thread, Sullivan took a relatively tame jab at Dan Patrick's recent turn against the Second Amendment.
Which caused Lt. Dan's notoriously thin skin to return with a vengeance:
You know my plan exempts family and friends, so apparently you are fine with selling your guns to total strangers who can’t pass a background check because they could be a violent felon or someone bent on mass violence. BTW, release the tape. You are destroying our party.— Dan Patrick (@DanPatrick) September 17, 2019
Guilty conscience, Lt. Dan?!?
Lt. Dan's supposition is, of course, preposterous. Whatever one thinks about Sullivan's strategy re: the Bonnen audio, the notion that it's "destroying our party" has no basis in fact. Jonathan Stickland explains:
No @DanPatrick you sir are destroying our party. You are the politician who has forgotten who brought you to the dance. You’ve publicly been taking a dump on our party platform & our long held support of the #2A. You will own the election results not the grassroots! #txlege

Bottom Line: This farce would be entertaining if it weren't so serious.
