Simpson speaks with Central Texas Grassroots Activists

Texas Land and Cattle -- Fresh off our endorsement this afternoon, David Simpson's Senate campaign held a fundraiser with grassroots activists from around Central Texas this evening.  There were several dozen people in attendance.  Simpson discussed how liberty is a gift from God and how it's our responsibility to defend it:



Highlights:

• "Not all of you can vote for me, but you can pray."

• "Ultimately God exalts, and He casts down."

• "He made us to love our neighbor's liberty as much as our own and that's ultimately what this campaign is about."

• "We passed numerous ex post facto bills this past session that completely violate the constitution."

• "If you haven't harmed your neighbor, the government shouldn't be in the way."

• 11,000 doors so far.

• "Even when we make a wrong choice, it's usually self-correcting if it's not subsidized by the government."
