While the Tesla bill went down in a public train-wreck, Elon Musk had better luck on a bill related to SpaceX (see the top of page 2):
The bill passed both chambers nearly unanimously; only Konni Burton, Jonathan Stickland, and Tony Tinderholt voted no.
Bottom Line: It's very revealing that, while they very publicly killed a bill that would have allowed Tesla to compete on a moderately more level playing field, the 84th #TXLEGE had no problem creating new subsidies for SpaceX.
