Pray for Obama (or at least his physical safety)
Today, someone made an insane comment on Facebook that I pray doesn't reflect a deeper sentiment of those upset over the results from Tuesday.
I'm not going to repeat the comment; suffice to say it would leave Barack Obama in similar circumstances as Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, and John Kennedy.
That's not cool, even as a joke.
The United States Declaration of Independence states: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these LIFE, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." Notice how life comes first. If those words apply to children in the womb, they certainly apply to the sitting President.
Here's the other thing: from a crassly political perspective, could anything be a bigger disaster for Conservatism than turning Barack Obama into a martyr?!? Barack Obama will begin his second term in the face of a growing scandal in Libya, a very interesting TARP lawsuit, and continued inquiry over Fast and Furious. Presidential second terms tend to be disastrous for re-elected Presidents, could you do anything stupider than turning Barack Obama into a martyr?!?
John Kennedy was one of the great frauds of American History. John Kennedy's weakness in the Bay of Pigs and Vienna blundered us directly into the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam. Unfortunately, no one remembers John Kennedy as the pill-popping intern rapist because he's considered a martyr.
These thoughts are evil, banish them from your mind.

The Walk of Shame Democrats
"he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance." Proverbs 29:3
I've been trying to characterize the Democrat convention since it opened; today, it hit me.
The Democrat convention was a walk of shame.
The lame excuses and justifications Democrats offered for the corrupt devastation of the Barack Obama years are just as pathetic as the lame excuses and justifications people offer after one-night stands.
The walk of shame Democrats cannot defend 8%+ unemployment (which would be closer to 11% if they weren't cooking the books), $16 trillion in debt, health care corruption, running guns to Mexico, and appeasement abroad. Instead, they excuse and justify their actions. The walk of shame Democrats tell us "the crisis was worse than we thought," "Obama saved the auto industry," or "we got bin Laden."
Unfortunately, for the walk of shame Democrats, none of this is true. Barack Obama didn't exactly undersell the crisis. Obama's takeover of the auto companies was a corrupt boondoggle that rewarded Obama's union cronies. Obama's version of the bin Laden raid is a fairy tale. The walk of shame Democrats offer excuses and justifications to avoid the consequences of their actions.
The Barack Obama years wrought an orgy of destruction. Incomes are down. Divorce rates are up. Food Stamp records are shattered. Undaunted, the walk of shame Democrats ask America to continue gambling with the wages of sin.
We learned a lot about Democrats in Charlotte. Facing entrenched unemployment, a looming debt crisis, and impending peril abroad, the walk of shame Democrats chose to define themselves as the party of subsidized fornication. Sadly, that's all you need to know.

How Eric Holder Helped Elect Ted Cruz
"But as for you, ye thought evil against me: but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Genesis 50:20
In his victory speech last night, Ted Cruz said "Millions of Texans and Millions of Americans are rising up to reclaim our country, to defend liberty, and to restore the Constitution." That's true. Ted Cruz's victory last night was fueled by countless activists, bloggers, and volunteers.
There is, however, one man who's contribution stands out.
In 2011, the Texas Legislature performed its constitutionally mandated redistricting function. Unfortunately, Eric Holder's Justice Department, in collaboration with radical Latino groups, sued the state of Texas, which delayed the election twice. Those two months were critical for Ted Cruz's campaign.
In early 2012, Dewhurst led Cruz by double digits. In addition, the Presidential campaign was still in full swing, which would have sucked all the oxygen out of the U.S. Senate race. Had this election been held on time, Dewhurst would have won and it probably wouldn't have been close.
Instead, Ted Cruz got an extra month to campaign; the results speak for themselves. The poetic justice is that Ted Cruz has been Eric Holder's most effective critic. In February, Ted Cruz called for Eric Holder's impeachment. In April 2012, Ted Cruz's campaign released this devastating video about Fast and Furious:

Reviewing Obama's Record
Last night, I got into a conversation on Facebook about the election. In the discussion, I listed all the elements of Barack Obama's record that he has to defend. Looking over it, it's incredible how much Barack Obama has to defend.
Feel free to keep this post in your back pocket. Anytime you need to refer back to Barack Obama's record, it'll be here.
Under Barack Obama, we've:
- Added 5 trillion dollars in new debt, for the net result of 41 months of unemployment over 8%; and this doesn't even get into the fact that unemployment would be closer to 11% if the administration wasn't cooking the books.
- Passed the largest tax hike in human history to ration health care with the final result being a protection racket for an insurance cartel he's given further protection from competition.
- Passed a corrupt financial regulation law that does nothing to unwind 'too big to fail' but does micromanage every consumer financial transaction in the country.
- Presided over skyrocketing violence on our Southern border and done nothing to stop it except running guns to Mexican Drug Cartels.
- Launched a war on the development of cheap and abundant energy while funneling our money to corrupt green energy companies that everyone knows are a crony capitalist scam.
- Added more Americans to food stamp rolls than ever before.
- Shredded 1000 years of bankruptcy law to to handover private automotive companies to a favored political constituency.
- Failed to Support the Green Movement in Iran.
- Taken a winnable situation in Afghanistan and, through failing to commit sufficient resources to ensure success, turned it into a killing field for our troops.
- Turned a blind-eye (in fairness, this continued a Bush policy) to an angry Jihadist in the U.S. Army who killed 13 people; after incident, covered up FBI report.
- Attempted to bribe a sitting member of Congress to stay out of a U.S. Senate race with a Federal Job.
- Interfered in attempts to end the Gulf Oil Spill in order to advance a radical environmental agenda.
- Squandered our hard-fought victory in Iraq. This hasn't gotten nearly enough coverage in the media. We're going to have to go back.
- Launched an Unconstitutional War in Libya without Congressional Authorization.
- HAD OUR CREDIT RATING DOWNGRADED (and have I mentioned he re-appointed Bernanke?!?)
- Passed a Defense Authorization that, even if some of the internet conspiracy theories are untrue, still gives the government waaaaaaaaaay too much leeway to detain citizens without cause.
- Turned a blind-eye (at best) to the ongoing infiltration of the U.S. government by operatives of the Muslim Brotherhood.
- Enabled a newly aggressive Russia by caving on missile defense, unilaterally disarming our nuclear weapons, and promising greater flexibility in a second term.
- Lectured Israel to return to the Auschewitz lines.
- Usurped the Constitutional authority of Congress to make recess appointments when Congress wasn't in recess.
- Enacted an abortion mandate, as part of the a fore mentioned Health Care law, that represents one of the greatest assaults on faith in American history.
- Insulted our allies in Great Britain, Czech Republic, Poland, Canada, and Colombia.
- Halted Production of a pipeline that would lower energy prices and create tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of jobs.
- Declared an amnesty for selected illegal immigrants that usurps Congresses' legislative authority.
- Leaked crucial National Security information for political purposes; our enemies read this stuff.
- Launched unprecedented Federal Interference in State elections.
- Grounded firefighting planes in the middle of the Colorado Wildfires for no good reason.
- And, by the time November rolls around, Iran could have the bomb.
On the other hand, Obama DID stay out of the Navy Seals' way long enough for them to kill bin Laden, after he made them write a memo covering HIS ass if the mission went bad.
This is the record Obama has to defend. Feel free to refer back to this as you need over the coming months.

EXCLUSIVE: Ted Cruz on Elena Kagan, Eric Holder, the Federal Administrative State, and Energy Development
I'll (hopefully) do a detailed write up over the next few days, but here are the highlights:
- Ted Cruz wants to serve on the Appropriations and Judiciary Committees.
- We discussed Justice Elena Kagan and questions surrounding the propriety of her hearing the Obamacare case.
- We discussed the ongoing Fast and Furious scandal, for which his campaign has produced this video:
- The bottom line for Ted Cruz on both Elena Kagan and Eric Holder is that all administrations need to be held accountable for their actions and that accountability 'certainly could' extend past January 20th of next year.
- We discussed the growth of the administrative state and what Ted Cruz intends to do about it. Ted Cruz supports legislation called the REINS Act that will require an affirmative vote of Congress before any Federal Regulation with an economic impact over $100 million goes into effect.
- Finally, we discussed energy development and the controversy over fracking. Ted believes that, in the unlikely event Barack Obama is re-elected, he will actively seek to ban fracking. Being from New York originally, this issue hits home for me.
